Heather Williamson

CASE MANAGER

HEALTH INSURANCE NAVIGATOR

My name is Heather Williamson, and I am proud to serve as a Case Manager at Destination Hope and Recovery (DHR). Born in Astoria, Oregon, and raised in Long Beach, I have deep roots in Pacific County. My personal journey with recovery began as a participant in Pacific County Drug Court, an experience that profoundly taught me the value of community, support, and hope in transforming lives. This program wasn't just a path to sobriety; it was a gateway to new beginnings. While in the program, I achieved milestones that once seemed unattainable—I graduated high school, regained my driver's license, and embarked on my first college degree.

My story is a testament to the belief that there is no set timeline for recovery. Having spent a significant part of my youth in active addiction, I now see, both in myself and others, the undeniable truth that recovery is possible. Inspired by the impact that community support and a little extra help had on my own life, I am dedicated to providing the same level of compassion, empathy, and hope to others. At DHR, we recognize that every journey is unique, and I am committed to guiding and supporting our participants through their own paths to recovery and renewed hope.

Holding a degree in human services, I've witnessed the potential for recovery firsthand and believe strongly in the resilience that those from unconventional backgrounds can offer. It’s my goal to give back to my community in meaningful ways, leveraging my experiences and education to help others realize that recovery is not just a possibility, but a reachable reality for everyone.

Gerith Crow

LEAD CASE MANAGER

Hi, my name is Gerith Crow, and I am a Housing and Employment Case Manager at Destination Hope and Recovery. As a nine-time convicted felon and an extensive history of battling substance use disorder, finding employment and hope seemed nearly impossible for me. My past struggles constantly resurfaced, leaving me emotionally and spiritually overwhelmed. At my lowest point, I was fortunate to encounter a Certified Peer Counselor who shared their story and, through their lived experience, offered me a newfound sense of hope and connection.

Embracing this connection, I found meaning in my own struggles and began to view my past experiences as valuable tools that could help make a positive impact on the world. I was graciously given an opportunity at DHR, which allowed me to not only support my community but also provide for my family. As an FCS Case Manager, I aim to assist individuals facing similar challenges in overcoming barriers and discovering indispensable resources that were instrumental in my own journey out of addiction and homelessness. As a human being, my ultimate goal is to contribute to making the world a better place than I found it.

Emily Reed

CASE MANAGER

Hi, my name is Emily Reed, and I serve as one of the FCS Housing and Employment Case Managers at Destination Hope and Recovery. I grew up in Pierce and King County and have been a resident of Grays Harbor for 11 years now. Much of my childhood and young adult life was spent navigating and overcoming the state systems, houselessness, trauma and abuse, single-parenthood, poverty, divorce and mental health challenges.

I have a direct passion for being a support to those who commonly feel they have no one else to turn to- those who come from familiar circumstances. I often serve individuals who have fallen through the cracks, are feeling lost or are unable to access the limited resources available. My heart is with the chronically homeless individuals, single parents, those with extensive criminal backgrounds or re-entering society after substantial incarceration sentences and those battling comprehensive mental health and substance abuse disorders.

I have over 10 years of experience in case management, social work, and the humanitarian non-profit field, with a passion for harm reduction, advocacy, and building community partnerships. I compassionately strive for the well-being of individuals and the overall wellness of our community. I feel grateful to be in this role and work for DHR - who truly strives to genuinely serve individuals and each other.

Erica Schlesser

CASE MANAGER

Hello, my name is Erica Schlesser, and I serve as a Housing and Employment Case Manager at Destination Hope and Recovery. Born and raised in Grays Harbor within a challenging family dynamic, my early life was marked by truancy, substance abuse starting at 14, and a series of unsuccessful treatments, culminating in a cycle of addiction that lasted a decade. This period of my life was fraught with personal loss and destructive behavior until the turning point at 24 when I discovered I was pregnant. My daughter, whom I consider my miracle child, motivated me to seek treatment, pursue my GED, and embark on a path of recovery and self-improvement that led me to a fulfilling career in the medical field and, eventually, to DHR.

My journey through recovery, coupled with raising a child who faces her own challenges, has instilled in me resilience, empathy, and a deep-seated belief in never giving up. With 11 years of sobriety, I've repaired my family relationships, achieved personal milestones, and am now dedicated to giving back to my community. At DHR, I aim to provide the resources and support that were not available to me, advocating for others and being the ally I once needed. My hope is to empower those I work with by sharing my experiences, strength, and hope, demonstrating that change is possible, and helping them navigate their paths to recovery.

Amy Ingram

CASE MANAGER

My name is Amy Ingram, and I am a FCS Housing and Employment Case Manager at Destination Hope and Recovery. My journey to this position is marked by personal struggles with addiction, mental health challenges, and navigating life as a three-time convicted felon. I was caught in a destructive cycle of relapse and incarceration, which culminated in a period of homelessness while pregnant. It was at this critical juncture that I chose to participate in a life-changing program.

This program was more than just a turning point; it was where I learned the invaluable lesson of living a clean and fulfilling life. The individual who guided me shared their own experiences of recovery and helped me access vital community resources and support programs. This guidance and the chance someone took on me turned my life around. Today, I am not only clean but employed, living in a safe home with my family, and, most importantly, I have discovered my true passion.

My passion lies in helping others, specifically in meeting them where they are in their journey. Having experienced the challenges of active addiction and the intricacies of case management, I understand both sides of the equation. Working at Destination Hope and Recovery is an honor that allows me to give back what was so generously given to me. My role is to offer hope, support choice-making, and ensure that every voice is heard, as we work together towards recovery and empowerment.
